FAQ & Tips
The beam emitted at a precise wavelength will be absorbed by the melanin of the hair. It will therefore pass through the skin without creating any damage captured by the melanin of the cells of the hair root. The light is transformed into heat. The pigment contained in the bulb, heats up and then burns.
This explains why laser hair removal is only effective on pigmented hair: black or brown. The heat must be sufficient for permanent hair removal, which explains why lasers or lamps with low power flashes (not type IV) only induce long-lasting hair removal.
Despite the elimination of your entire stock of hair from the area treated with the laser, only 10% to 20% of the hair is on the anagen side (hair attached to the root) and the treatment will not be effective, which is why the number sessions may vary from one person to another.
